The Grand Canyon is like a colorful canvas painted across 277 miles of breath taking earth and skies. It’s captivating to all the senses in ways that may seem impossible to come by in day-to-day life. Satisfaction runs through your veins like blood. The Colorado River flows freely, naturally, slowly through the Canyons, bringing life and beauty for miles and miles. You can hear the silence around you get louder and louder with each breath you take in. You begin to feel numb from the calmness that surrounds you. Your empty thoughts are racing through your mind. You stop suddenly gasping for air as you have forgotten to breathe.
Like a river, you encounter obstacles and challenges in life. But the river overcomes these obstacles by wearing them down or finding a path around or through them. At times there are massive floods, huge waterfalls, and raging rapids, other times there are the periods of smooth and peaceful flow. No matter what a river never stops until it reaches the ocean. ?A river never passes the same point twice, it is only at that point for the precise moment it is there flowing immediately to the next point in its journey. The river does not normally back track, and when it does, the river becomes stagnant and brackish. The river does not struggle, it simply flows on until it reaches its destination. ??The river, at times will change direction because of obstacles encountered, but will continue the journey to its GOAL. When one path is blocked it seeks another path. ??The river is patient, for it knows it will eventually reach its destination.
Be like a river.
