Most people travel during the holidays, others all year long. We are constantly asked
“what can I do while I’m on vacation ?”
Well, here ya go. 4 simple but incredibly effective workouts you can do anywhere. You can do these at your hotel, in a house, yard, beach or wherever you may find yourself during this holiday season.
There is a workout here for everyone. Enjoy!
This is movement training at its finest. Naked Training is Movement Training done without equipment. About 90% of people that I’ve seen over the years never change.
They show up a few days a week, some more, but their bodies don’t change at all.
Why do they keep coming in?
Are they wasting their time?
I’m sure most of them figure that they are earning points for showing up to the gym..points with the doctor, their wife/husband, status among friends or whatever..some probably just show up out of habit or guilt. Most of these reasons deal with other people…the ‘feeling like I have to go’ motivation, which is very weak in most cases. but most people’s motivation really stems at their own self esteem and ego about looking better.
Tell a woman that she has to put on a bikini in front of 600 people and she will make the change. There is major motivation there. But if someone just feels like they need to lose some weight and buys a gym membership, there is no connection or deep seeded motivation to create the discipline and consistent effort that is needed.
In order you to get the fast, jaw dropping results, that we all desire, you are going to have to work…work hard…work consistently and probably gonna have to make some serious lifestyle changes to make it happen. So here are 5 things you will have to think about.
1. Write down the Desired Result! If you are gonna bust your ass for three months in the gym, what do you wanna do it for? What is your desired outcome? How do you want your body to look? What will change?
*the key when writing your goals the to use the SMART method. It needs to be specific, measurable, ‘as if now’, realistic and time based. For example: Today is December 31st, 2009 and I, Corey Beasley, can squat 400lbs. Now think about it, write them all down and we can move onto step 2.
2. Nutrition is the most misunderstood, most important factor you will deal with. People are seriously emotional when it comes to eating and most think of dieting as some torturous, agonizing penalty that forces them to eat salads everyday of their life. Nothing could be further from the truth. When you really learn what is healthy and how to properly integrate new foods into your lifestyle, you will be surprised how good food really is.
* The most simple way think of healthy eating is this: If GOD made it, eat it. or If it occurs in nature, eat it. The more we (man) touches it, RUN! Man has taken naturally occurring, amazing foods and has ruined it. Processing, pasteurizing, refining, adding to, preserving, genetically modifying, adding chemicals to and basically screwing it all up! The best cooks in the entire world only work with top quality ingredients and you should too.
3. Movement is the basis for exercise and most people spend their life at a desk, in a car and in front of the television. Gee, I wonder why everyone’s back hurts…hmmm. Most people just need to blow their ass off the couch and go for a walk. Others may belong to a gym, but either never go, are inconsistent or they have no intensity when they are there. I think this comes from a lack of motivation and knowledge. If you are uncertain about starting to workout or how to change up your current plan, ask for help! There is information all over the place!
*If you do look to hire a professional trainer, please take the time to investigate a good personal trainer or strength coach. Every local bodybuilder, gym rat or newbie fitness trainer does not understand the body, much less your body. If you look for advise, make sure the person is qualified and has experience dealing with people like yourself.
4. Recovering from your newly found lifestyle. If you go from sitting behind a desk to working out 3-5 days per week, you are going to encounter some minor aches and pains. Working hard in the gym may create some soreness, muscle tightness and other aches and pains. There are a variety of recovery tactics that have worked wonders for myself, like massages, ice, heat, contrast showers and many more.
* remember to start slow and listen to your body. Please take the time to learn movements correctly and consult a physician if any pains last more than a few days or swelling occurs.
5. Guidance during your new program is essential. Having someone that can teach you, motivate and push you during your program will be a huge factor in your success. It is proven that working out with a partner increases your chances for success significantly! It always makes you work harder, spot, correct and make sure that you are doing things safely and properly.
* Find someone who will hold you accountable so that you don’t get off track. You have proven up to this point that you don’t have the self discipline to do it on your own, so find somebody good and have them keep you focused this time.
So, why is it that you go to the gym? Do you have it written down?
I truly hope that it motivates you more than the obstacles or temptations you may have. Cuz, believe me, when you work hard and make huge progress, people WILL notice. They will be motivated and will look to you as an example. You will earn an kind of instant respect from people that know you. It will help you stand out from the crowd and you may start to carry yourself more confidently. Who knows, maybe you’ll even get a new job or even a raise!
Now go out there, kick butt and make something great happen this week.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 25, 2008 – Innovative Results, Inc. takes the number one spot on myfoxla 2008 Best of the OC HOT LIST as the Best Personal Trainers in Orange County.
The myfoxla HOT LIST (www.myfoxla.com), a product of Fox LA News, is Southern California’s premier image-based guide to thousands of local businesses. The HOT LIST delivers the local perspective: hidden gems, neighborhood favorites, and honest advice from those who know their city best.
Aaron Guyett, President and CEO of Innovative Results, Inc., said of the victory:”We are extremely pleased and honored to be named best personal trainers, but not surprised. The success of any personal trainer can only be measured by his or her clients. It’s a goal-oriented business and as a former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant I understand the hard work that goes into reaching your goals. I am here to support my clients and offer not just a gym program but a life plan that will lead to fulfillment. The company’s motto is ‘love, happiness and abundance.’ As trainers, we focus on giving support and motivation to every client so they can achieve their goals.”
Guyett notes the following factors why Innovative Results, Inc. is also the fastest growing personal training business in the county:
1. We offer innovative personal training and nutritional coaching that’s fine-tuned for every customer, allowing for maximum results in minimum time. Each client’s program is designed with their individual goals in mind. Everybody is different and nobody’s time or efforts are ever wasted;
2. We don’t train like the traditional bodybuilders, we train movements and therefore create efficient humans with sexy bodies; and
3. We also give our clients innovative nutritional guidelines. It’s not a strict adherence to specific foods; instead we work with each individual’s food journal to create modification for success.
He adds: “While it’s great to have this recognition because it means that our clients are happy, I won’t rest here. My goal is to grow the company and continue to increase revenue while creating a great work environment for both my trainers and my clients. My business model is very different from the traditional gym-membership model that cuts the customer loose after the initial sale. They count on the failure of their customers, so the gym won’t get overcrowded, and they can sell more memberships. I want everyone to succeed because their success is a direct reflection on me.”
Innovative Results, Inc. has plans to open three private training facilities in Orange County and eventually expand nationally.

Not too long ago, hiring an Orange County Personal Trainer was like putting a chauffeur, butler or masseuse on the payroll, an indulgence for the rich and spoiled. But the idea that fitness coaches are only for Hollywood stars and professional athletes is as outdated as Jane Fonda’s leg warmers.

Having a trainer makes sense for people who join gyms but are intimidated by the maze of machines and free weights. Or those who work out at home and need someone to rev up your routine. Think you can go to the gym, workout, and eat right with enough motivation? Sure you can! However, what makes you think that someone who specializes in exercise and weight loss/ weight gain can’t help increase your results and keep you motivated and consistent?
When people think of a personal trainer they picture some huge guy that looks like Hulk Hogan standing over them yelling out orders like a drill Sargent.

The reality of our occupation is just the opposite. We aren’t there to be little you, yell at you, and make you puke (because you’ve worked out so much). We are there to be a “professional tool” to guide you in the right direction so you can be successful throughout your journey to a better, healthier body.
Most gym members watch personal trainers throughout their training sessions and try to get a good idea of what a trainer “really” does. This is often a good question to ask when watching some trainers that work in corporate gyms, but more on that issue in a future blog. However, even the average client doesn’t really know what is fully going on. Much more thought and effort goes into planning workout routines then just marching out onto the workout floor and pointing to machines. Not only is the trainer tailoring your workout towards your overall goal, but they are also changing your routine on a consistent basis so you don’t hit plateaus and get discouraged. Sometimes this means changing the weight, reps, tempo, modality, rest, plane of motion, or even changing the whole routine all together! So I am going to give you some hints on “what a trainer really does” so that you can decide whether paying for personal training is really worth it…..
Here are the top ten reasons to hire an Orange County Personal Trainer
If you’ve been exercising consistently for several weeks or months and aren’t seeing the changes you’d like, hiring a trainer may be a good choice. A trainer can look at your current program and eating habits and help you see where you could make changes to create more effective
workouts. A trainer can also help you determine if the goals you’ve set are realistic for you.
Knowing how to set up a balanced schedule that includes all the activities you need to do can be confusing. The great thing about a trainer is that he can help you maximize your time while helping you stay within your own limits so you don’t overdo it. He can also help you set goals and map out a specific schedule so you know when, how and where you’ll fit in your workouts.
If you’re an experienced exerciser, maybe you haven’t considered working with a trainer. But it can be a great choice if you need some variety in your workouts. A trainer can bring a fresh perspecitve and new ideas to challenge both your body and your mind. Even if you just do a few sessions or meet every few weeks, you’ll find it refreshing to have new workouts and new exercise toys to play with.
If you’re like me, you tend to slack off on your workouts sometimes, especially when things get tough. A trainer can motivate you to push past those self-imposed limits, encouraging you to lift heavier, go longer and challenge yourself more than you would on your own. You’ll find it’s very hard to slack off with a trainer standing over you, telling you to do just…one…more…rep!
Trainers come with built-in motivation. Not only are you investing money into your exercise program…you’re investing time as well. There’s nothing like a standing appointment to get your butt in gear for a workout. Not only that, a trainer provides some accountability so, even when you don’t have a session, you know your trainer will be asking if you did your planned workouts. Just knowing that may make it harder to skip your workouts. This is also a great reason for all those people who know how to exercise and do it correctly but still just don’t.
If you have any specific issues like arthritis, heart disease, old injuries, diabetes etc., working with an experienced trainer (who works with your doctor, of course) can help you find a program to help heal injuries and avoid any further problems. It’s also a great idea to work with a trainer if you’re pregnant and want a safe, effective workout to keep you healthy and fit. Just make sure your trainer has experience with your issues!
If you’re training for a marathon, a golf tournament or some other type of sport or event, an experienced trainer can help you figure out what you need to do to stay strong without taking away from your other training. She can also help create a training program and map out a plan for the coming event. Just make sure she’s experienced in the sport you’re training for since not all trainers do sport-specific training.
Trainers have a vast supply of exercises so they can help target areas of your body that you don’t know how to work. Different exercises helps you to challenge parts of your body in so many different ways that you are assured to get results. So whether you want big guns for the beach or hot sexy legs for that new skirt, a trainer will be able to get you specific results directly related to your own personal goal.
The supplement industry spends billions of dollars each year on advertising their products, but just because they spent so much on promotion doesn’t mean that they spent it on research! In fact this industry is not even regulated by the FDA and do not have to practice good manufacturing practices. That’s where the trainer comes in, they study supplements and tell you which ones are worth buying.
No one likes to be restricted, but somehow when someone is watching over you, it’s much easier to eat the right foods then just doing it on your own. Just knowing that you have to tell your trainer what you ate will help you make better decision let alone if you are writing it down and showing him. Every GOOD trainer will be very well educated in nutrition because that will determine 80% of your results. Make sure you know if you are eating to “lose weight” or for “optimal health”. There is a huge difference and it is a leading fac
tor why 90% of our food budget is
spent on processed “diet food” like lean cuisines and the cancer rates are growing like crazy.
A logical choice…
Look over this list of things that trainers do…… now think about your busy life, your family, your job, your social life. Now, tell me if you think you have time to change your workouts, follow your meal plan, keep yourself motivated, and spend long nights researching new workout routines and supplements. Not many of us do…. but we know we can make money and save money. Most sick days at work can be attributed to being overweight and eating junk. All the money spent at the doctors office and on prescriptions is unnecessary. This money can be invested in your well being with preventative medicine by choosing an Orange County personal trainer that’s well educated who can help you on your way to a better you!

Technically, we begin to age from the day we’re born. But most of us don’t give it much thought until we begin to notice several signs of aging: lagging energy, digestive complaints, wrinkles, weight gain, difficulty concentrating, poor memory, lowered stress tolerance, and reduced mobility. With enough of these symptoms of aging, we may be motivated to make some changes
Here are five steps to practice daily if you want to look and feel great as long as possible whatever your age.
CONTROL STRESS
“Every stress leaves an indelible scar, and the organism pays for its survival after a stressful situation by becoming a little older,”
The daily stress imposed by relationships, work, and lifestyle are a major factor in aging and the development of aging conditions.
The most effective antidote for reducing stress is living as much as possible in the present moment. Every day, practice meditation, t’ai chi, qi gong, and prayer. Listen to relaxation tapes designed to synchronize both hemispheres of the brain. Try to keep your mind totally focused on what you’re doing at the moment, even during the most mundane tasks. With practice, you’ll become much better at thinking less and accessing your intuition and inner wisdom, which will improve your quality of life and long-term health.
NOURISH YOUR BODY
Fast becoming a worldwide problem, obesity is a chronic disease that accelerates aging, helping to explain why it’s implicated in heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Overweight stems from eating too much, eating the wrong foods, eating while stressed, and your genetic inheritance. The greatest culprit is sugar – not just table sugar but sweeteners and all “white” carbohydrates (white bread, white pasta, white potatoes). Sugar contributes to skin wrinkling, impairs immune function, and causes hormone imbalances, particularly insulin and cortisol.
Reducing caloric intake is a scientifically proven way to extend longevity. Ideal body weight, age, and exercise level determine how many calories you should ingest daily. Women 25 to 50 need a daily intake of 1,800 to 2,400 calories. Men in this age group can eat between 2,200 and 2,600 calories. Anyone over the age of 50 needs to limit calories to somewhere between 1,500 to 2,200 a day.
ANTI-AGING EXERCISE
Convenient for most people even during the middle of the workday, walking is an excellent way to improve cardiovascular function. Swimming, cycling, running, and other aerobic activities prime the body to release growth hormone and testosterone, which is converted into estrogen in women. Aerobic exercise also reduces insulin and corticol levels, while releasing the “feel good” neurotransmitters that elevate mood and improve sleep.
Always begin your exercise session by deep breathing for several minutes. Warm up with mild aerobics for five minutes; then complete 20 to 30 minutes of more vigorous aerobic exercise to begin raising hormone levels. Follow aerobics with no more than 40 – 45 minutes of heavy lifting (anabolic or resistance) exercises. Heavy lifting for longer periods of time can actually sabotage your efforts. That’s because body toning and muscle building hormones begin declining rapidly and cortisol starts kicking in.
ANTI-AGING SUPPLEMENTS
Aging occurs because stress, poor diet, and the lack of regular exercise increase the production of free radicals – rogue molecules that damage DNA, proteins, and fat membranes. When we’re young, the body’s internal defenses may be sufficient to block free radical damage with antioxidants and detoxifying enzymes in the diet. But as we grow older, or when we’re under great stress, these internal defensive mechanisms grow less effective, and we need supplements to bolster protection against free radical activity.
Common antioxidants include vitamins A, C, E, plus alpha and beta carotene. The amino acid cysteine, the B vitamin niacin, and the minerals selenium, zinc, copper, and manganese are essential components of detoxifying enzymes.
SUPPORT THE EXTERNAL SHELL
All the previous steps help counter skin and body aging. In addition, topical creams can protect the skin from UV radiation and help heal redness, scarring and wrinkles. Alpha lipoic acid is very effective when applied topically. Also effective topically in its estrified form (ascorbyl palmitate) vitamin C is necessary for repairing collagen and elastin. Green tea and Pycnogenol™ are excellent anti-inflammatory agents. Zinc, niacin, and other topical ingredients help repair the DNA in skin cells, so that healthy new tissue grows to replace wrinkled and sagging skin.
