Catch the spirit | Join the team | Gain strength from others | Feed off the environment | Be motivated by the changes that can occur -
In other words, let’s get serious for a few weeks and ask yourself: what can I really accomplish in 25 days?
You could drop 10lbs
You get lose 3 inches off your waist
You could fit back into those jeans
You could perform a certain challenge
You could increase your strength
You could reclaim your confidence
You could do a lot of things…..
Each team has 3 current members and up to 2 new members.
Who do you know that might wanna join us? Each team must have at least 1 new client, 2 ideally. Your team will compete against other teams in “The greatest changes in the month of February” – and this is not just about weight loss, it also involves several physical challenges in addition to a written aspect. Although losing weight or inches can be rewarding, we want to include physical challenges too.
Winners Will Earn Over $2500 in Cash and Prizes
Here’s what’s involved:
***1st Assessment is either Friday Feb 3rd from 5-7pm or Saturday Feb 4th from 8-10am
We will take pictures and measurements (weight, body fat, and inches).
Everyone will also do the following physical challenges (25pts for 1st place, 10pts for 2nd, 5 for 3rd place)
Your story (50pts to winner, 25 2nd place, 10pts to 3rd and 5pts for every story.
Tell your “Transformation” story:
Winners will NOT be judged on straight performance or aesthetic measurements. (i.e., The leanest person at the end of the month doesn’t automatically win.)
We WILL be judging by most dramatic improvements. We want to see people change and improve. We did this so that the entire contest is a level playing field for everyone involved.
This is gonna be incredible!
You will also have the opportunity to ask questions, encourage others, and build an additional accountability team with other people that are changing too. As you know, support and accountability are a foundation of IR’s program.

Schwinn airdyne bike. So many people want to buy home gym equipment, but they are unsure what to buy. If you are looking for something like a treadmill, eliptical or bike, this is your choice. Most home gym equipment is crap. Sorry, but its true. This Schwinn bike is solid as a rock, safe, easy on your joints and will kick your butt for sure!
**FREE Shipping is available for a limited time
Foam Rollers are the secret of feeling great in between workouts. We’ve all been stiff and sore, right? Using these rollers before workouts, after workouts and during the day at the office will change the way you feel. Less stiffness, better mobility and less pain…these things are worth their weight in gold!
Indian Clubs are a tool we just recently started working with and I wish I would have found them much sooner. Since most of us spend too much time on the couch, computer and the in the car, we all get tight shoulders and upper backs. Using a series of different drills, these clubs can help release tension in your shoulders, reduce pain and increase mobility in the upper back and shoulders.
X-Vest are probably the best fitting weighted vests we have found. We use a lot of bodyweight exercises at IR and using a weighted vest adds another level of difficulty to any exercise. Even if you wear it on a walk, you are going to notice a huge difference…never mind running stairs, agility drills, basic calisthenics and more…awesome!
**FREE Shipping over the holiday season
Power Wheel John Hinds created a pretty incredible piece of equipment here. We use these things almost everyday at IR and there are a ton of unique exercises that will challenge you from head to toe. Nothing we have found challenges your CORE muscles more than this guy.
Battling Ropes are a staple at our gym. In 14 years of training, nothing has changed the way I train more than these simple ropes. We use them for everything from shoulder rehab – conditioning professional athletes.

**FREE Shipping is available for the holidays!
Kettlebells have been around forever, but have been neglected from most mainstream gyms. John Buckley and Jason Dolby visited our gym after their trip to Siberia Russia and opened our eyes to how powerful and useful these can be. Kettlebells are ideal for building a solid posterior chain (back, butt and hamstrings), which is vital for athletic performance, aesthetic pleasure and moving more efficiently. An incredible tool to have in your arsenal!
**FREE SHipping thru the holidays!!
Zippearz - I have never worn earphones while I worked out. They always seemed to get in the way, fall our and be more of a distraction than anything. Luckily, a friend recommended Zippearz ear buds. They are comfortable, sound is killer and they don’t fall out! A must for any active lifestyle!
Gymboss Interval Timer – stop watches are a thing of the past. The Gym Boss allows us to easily time intervals, work times, rest periods and more. They clip on your clothes and notify start and stop times by noise and vibration. They have become invaluable for running groups of athletes in our facility and the only thing I wish we had was more of them!
We hope all of you have a safe and happy holiday season!

On September 17-18, 2011 Orange County hosted its first annual Veterans Stand Down. This two day event was organized to provide our region’s low income and homeless veterans and their families with access to basic services such as housing assistance, medical exams, and employment training.
Innovative Results personal trainer and registered dietitian, Amanda Brown, and IR client and pro MMA fighter, Anthony Frank, volunteered at the Furnishing Hope children’s tent at the Stand Down. Furnishing Hope is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the living spaces of returning military, veterans, and low income families. Amanda and Anthony showed the kids a few moves with the IR battling ropes and led several other physical activities.
Innovative Results would like to thank Kristen Parrinello, a former US Navy ship driving officer, for allowing these two members of the IR family to participate in such a great event.

Lots of you have seen Ian around the gym over the last year. His consistent hard work has paid off this year, allowing him to defeat #1 ranked Jussier da Silva and Dustin Ortiz. These victories have clearly placed Ian in the top 3 flyweights in the world. This Friday, Ian fights for the belt at Tachi Palace against Darrell Montague.

The event will benefit the Japan Tsunami and Earthquake relief efforts.
Saturday, October 22nd 9am-12pm at Innovative Results’ gym in Costa Mesa, CA.
The reason we have chosen to donate all proceeds of this year’s One Hour Long Cycle to Japan, “Higashi Nihon Daishinsai”, the Eastern Japan Great Earthquake Disaster. On Friday, March 11, 2011, an undersea megathrust earthquake with a magnitude 9.0, struck about 45 miles east of Japan’s Oshika Peninsula from an underwater depth of 20 miles. The earthquake was the most powerful to have ever hit Japan and actually shifted the planet on its axis by up to 10 inches and slid Honshu, the largest island of Japan, 8 feet laterally. The quake triggered devastating tsunamis, unleashing waves of up to 133 feet, in some cases sweeping up to 6 miles inland. In addition to being responsible for the thousands of lives lost, injuries, and individuals still uncounted for, the tsunamis caused a number of nuclear accidents and destroyed or damaged 125,00 buildings across the span of 18 prefectures.
Japan’s Prime Minister Naoto Kan has mentioned this catastrophe to be the most difficult crisis Japan has had to deal with in the 65 years post WWII. The battered communities need all and any assistance they can get from the rest of the world right now. We have chosen to do our best to lend a helping hand, no matter how small, in the scheme of things, that hand might be. We will do this as a united group of people, as one unit, as kettlebell lifters. We will work as hard as possible and bare all that we can, for 60 minutes, for a great cause. Come join us in lifting in and or donating to this year’s One Hour Long Cycle.
Our good friend Nazo was trapped in Japan during the natural disasters. She wrote a heartfelt blog entry while dealing with the crisis. It’s titled “Nazo from Tokyo”. The link is below, and I would highly recommend reading it.

So my time here in Minsk thus far has been so amazing. The city is beautiful and the arena is even more AMAZING.
They say that the arena is the best in all of European hockey. The arena is absolutely massive with our practice rink located right next to it(about a 5 minute walk). Our practice rink is housed inside a huge arena where there is a full size European rink and North American sized rink. The European size rink is a bit bigger than the rinks in North America.
The gym is nice and has pretty much everything i need to get my job done minus a few things like more Kettlebells( which i am hoping to get more of soon). I am very fortunate in that I am able to utilize a massive indoor soccer room to conduct all my foam roll/stretch/warm up/plyos/speed work in as I have about 25 players at one time.
The language barrier hasnt been too big of a problem as I have a former player helping me and he speaks both Russian and English. The tricky part is that half the team is imports which means we have Belarussians, Czechs, Canadians, Fins, and. Norwegians( we are allowed as many import players as we want because we are a team outside of Russia whereas a KHL team located in Russia is only allowed 5 import players) so at times it is difficult for me to know which language is being spoken. I am doing my best to try and learn the important Russian words and am up to about 10 words and try to learn a couple each day.
Since training camp has started on Thursday I have been at the rink from 8 to 8 each day. Lunch and dinner is provided for us at the arena which is nice as I dont have to leave and take the bus anywhere( i dont have a car here). We meet as a staff in the morning then I get weight room and everything else set up and then off ice training is from 930 to 11 then we bus to the soccer field which is 3 minutes away and we do conditioning out there.
So far the staff is really pleased with the stuff I am doing with the guys and they are excited for the season. We will spend 6 more days here in Minsk before heading to Geneva, Switzerland for 2 weeks of training in the mountains and I hear where we are going is GORGEOUS.
Hope all is going well back home.
Oh yeah! All I can say is the girls here are beautiful.
