Ladder to Fitness Goals

Break down your goals into bite size pieces. You have all heard the story about “How to eat an elephant,” right?

This is the same technique, but for your fitness goals in the gym. Grab a partner (it is always easier to accomplish something with someone than by yourself, right?), measure your current fitness status for what you want to achieve, and then set a SMART Goal. Your action is to perform the partner ladder on the exercise you are choosing for your goal. For Example: If your goal is to do 10 pull-ups, then you will to ladders of pull-ups. In a short period of time you should be at the level of strength needed for the performance of 10 pull-ups.
Ladder: Perform 1 rep and then rest while your partner performs 1 rep, then perform 2 reps, resting while your partner performs 2 reps, and so on until one of you can no longer do any pull-ups. Repeat this multiple times per week or even day for faster results. Enjoy!

The Secret to Weight Loss and Living a Happier Healthier Life

How to write goals and accomplish them

Pretty amazing stuff, right?

So here is some homework:

1.  Write 50 things that you are grateful for. Get a piece of paper and write em out. Some things you can include may be family, career, personal growth, health, fitness, accomplishments, relationships, spiritual, etc.

2.  Write 50 affirmations. They must follow the SMART rule.  Specific, Measured, “as if now”, Realistic and Timed.  For example, “It is now March 29th and I, Corey have successfully lost 30 lbs of fat and have a huge amount of energy everyday”

3.  Make a vision board. Cut out pictures that represent your affirmations.  I am a very visual person, so this one has been a huge value to me.  Next, put this board where you can see it everyday.  You may also wanna create a rotating screen saver on your computer with these pictures.

**Once these tasks are completed, you should begin each day by reading your grateful list and affirmations out loud, while looking at your vision board.  By doing this, you will keep yourself focused, positive and consistent during the next few months.
