Innovative Results would like to send a shoutout to the women’s competitive Mulligan Field Hockey team. IR trainer and registered dietitian, Amanda Brown, is a forward on the Mulligan team and has been training several of her teammates. Judy Schaefer leads the team’s defense, Sydney King is one of the team’s goal keepers, and Gina Taglieri is a strong force on the defense and mid field. The Mulligans are currently in spring season at Moorpark College run through the Field Hockey Federation. In the women’s division, Mulligans are in 1st place with a record of 7-0-1. In the D3 bracket (playing primarily against all male teams), Mulligans are in 2nd place with a record of 5-1-1.
Gina and Sydney also play on the Divots Under-19 women’s field hockey team. The Divots have had great success in recent 6v6 tournaments, placing 1st in their division at Berkeley and 2nd at Stanford. Both Gina and Sydney will soon be going off to play field hockey in college.
Over Memorial Day weekend, the Mulligans and Divots will be competing in the California Cup (Cal Cup), an annual international men’s and women’s field hockey tournament held at Moorpark College. Cal Cup will have over 140 teams with nearly 2,000 athletes of all ages. The Mulligans have finished as champions the last two years in the women’s competitive division.
Good luck ladies!
