I feel like my wedding to-do list is never-ending.
I need more hours in the day!
But I never skip my workout. And I’ve stuck to my healthy eating plan.
I WANT TO LOOK PERFECT ON MY WEDDING DAY!!!
It’s not easy.
There are days when I just want to stay in bed or go home after work and sit on the couch and eat a huge bucket of red velvet frozen yogurt with peanut butter cups (YUM!).
But for some reason, everyday my alarm goes off and I get out of bed and head to the gym. For the first five minutes while I’m getting ready, I consider just going back to sleep.
I consider pretending my alarm just didn’t go off. But I get dressed and get into my car.
I warm up and before I know it….I’m done with my workout and I feel 100% better.
I’m not worried about my work or the planning I have to do. For that hour, and about the hour afterwards, I’m completely unstressed.
And I get A LOT of stuff done. I’m SUPER productive!
I actually get so much more done than I would have if I had gone back to sleep and lazily gotten up later and wandered around and had some coffee and watched some TV before going to work.
And the fact that I get so much done means I’m less stressed and can more easily plan out the wedding! YAY!
AND I feel so good from my workout and the fact that I got so much done that I don’t want to ruin all my progress by eating some ice cream….no matter how good it sounds!
It isn’t my AMAZING self-control that keeps me dedicated. (Heck no! My self control runs out all of the time!)
But it is having a program laid out for me that keeps me committed. It is having the accountability of knowing what I’m supposed to do each day that keeps me coming back.
It is the fact that I feel AMAZING after I workout and that my stress level is WAY LESS than it would be if I skipped my workout.
It is the fact that I feel good and can conquer all of this freaking planning!
